Workforce Housing

Communities can’t thrive without teachers, nurses, firefighters, and service workers living locally. When these workers are priced out, schools shrink, services decline, businesses struggle, and the community declines.

Our role:

Develop and manage affordable rental and ownership housing tied to local AMI (Area Median Income).
Use deed restrictions and pricing caps to preserve affordability across generations.
Partner with individuals and municipalities to secure land, incentives, and infrastructure.

Impact:

Stable, dignified housing strengthens the middle class, anchors families, and sustains local economies.

Wellness Innovation - Designed for Health

At the Richards-Sinta Foundation, we believe that housing isn't truly affordable if it undermines health.

Our approach to Wellness Innovation goes beyond building housing — we design communities that actively support the physical, mental, and social well-being of the people who live there.

Our role:

Design Healthy Homes. Poor air quality, toxic materials, or cramped design can create long-term health challenges for families
Incorporate Community Wellness Centers. Community gardens for fresh food, outdoor activity, and connection. Walking and biking trails to encourage active living. Wellness rooms for yoga, meditation, fitness, or group workshops. Bike storage and tool pods.

Environmental Stewardship

Protecting our natural resources for future generations

Our approach to Environmental Stewardship focuses upon utilizing renewable energy strategies to preserve our natural resources.

Our role:

Integrating community solar microgrids to limit environmental impact
Installing rooftop or shared solar gardens with battery storage for energy resilience and to lower utility bills.
